I have no debate about the cause and effect so under your fairer system would this be repealed? To counter the obesity problem maybe the government should place taxs on fast food and high sugar contented food and subsidies fresh fruit and vegetables. Lets not also forget these fat smoking individuals ( this is sarcasm can’t tell tone in text) also pay tax , what everyone appears to forget is not only do we pay tax on our income but on almost every item we purchase (gst) . So should we move to a society where you don’t pay for services you don’t use I.e. I don’t have children so can I elect for my tax dollars not to go towards that . Health care should be universally free for all it is situation where your station , position and wealth should not be a deciding factor.
